Hello.

I have developed a code for TMS320F28069 and

this code has been analyzed by LDRA TBvision for MISRA-C:2012/AMD1/TC1 conformity.

In this code I used __tbit and LDRA tell me

Function call with no prior declaration. : __tbit

MISRA-C:2012/AMD1/TC1 R.17.3

Is there a way to use __tbit avoiding this Violation ?

It's not really a function--it's an intrinsic. You might be able to satisfy LDRA by providing an extern prototype for it though.

I will try,

since we do no have a license for the LDRA software in our office

I have to wait ...

when I can check if this solution works I will click This resolved my issue

however I believe it is correct

The prototype is

bool __tbit (int src, int bit);

but I believe MISRA doesn't accept function name starts with _ undescore

My understanding is that the rule about underscores is to say that they are reserved because they are intended for use by the C implementation (like the compiler and its libraries). Since __tbit() is an intrinsic defined by the compiler (and not a function in your application code), it seems like it isn't really a violation of the rule. LDRA doesn't know that it's a compiler intrinsic though, so it reported it anyway.

Yes, it should be. Do you ask because of the weirdness with the C++-style reference? We've resolved that in the past with something like this:

#if(defined(__TMS320C28XX__) || defined(__TMS320C28XX_CLA__))
#else
extern int16_t &__byte(int16_t *array, uint16_t byte_index);
#endif

The #if hides the & notation from the compiler so it doesn't get confused, but as long as you add __TMS320C28XX__ to your LDRA macro definitions, it can still see the prototype for __byte().

Or was that not the problem?
