TMS320F28379D: Loading DSP externally

Dear Sir, 

Please confirm the following system requirements:

1. You have an ARM based subsytem that serves as a host to the F28379D DSP

2. The ARM itself is connected to a host computer.  

3. You would like download an application from the host computer via the ARM to the DSP.

We do not have an application note that directly addresses your requirement, but you could consider the following:

- Develop a simple boot loader (BL) that resides on the DSP

- BL, on power up, waits (for a pre-determined period of time) for a command from the ARM host for a new application download

- BL, checks if there is an application already available that can be launched…if so it launches the app

- If there is no app, it simply continues to wait for the ARM host to download the application.
