TMS320F280049: DCSM module operation

Dear C2K team,

 

Please note below a customer issue.

 

After programming the password of DCSM OTP, they’re able to secure the Zone 1 and they are able to unsecure the Zone 1 using the Password match flow (PMF) process after device reset.

But they are not able to unsecure the Zone again after they re-secure the zone by SW.

Can you please help to check what’s the issue? Does the Zone can only be unsecured after system reset? They did not find such description on the reference manual.

 

Here’s the debug information they printed:

 

Zone1 is locked after reset

call DrvFlashUnLock()

Zone1 is unlocked

call DrvFlashLock()

Zone1 is locked

call DrvFlashUnLock()

Zone1 is locked        --- Can’t be unlocked now!!!

 

Note: The DrvFlashUnLock() function execute the PMF process, the DrvFlashLock() function resecure the zone by setting FORCESEC bit. They are using the DcsmBank0Z1Regs.Z1_CR.bit.UNSECURE bit to check whether the zone is secured or not.
