CCS/TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT: erroe retrieving COM ports

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I followed the guide pdf to set up the hardware and software but whenever I open the GUI software this error always occur (figure above). Why is that? The auto-connection doesn't work and I cannot configure the Connection Wizard either(figure below). The control card I am using is F28035.

Which GUI are you using? What F28035 control Card are you using? Isolated or Non-Isolated? And please make sure that the jumpers and connector on both controlCard and high voltage kit are set correctly as the guide, and the power supply is connected to the controlCard.

As mentioned in the quick start guide, please make sure that the following switches are set as described below on the F28035 control card to enable boot from flash and connection to the SCI.
1. SW1 is in the OFF position
2. SW2 on controlCARD, Position 1 = ON, Position 2 = ON
3. SW3 on controlCARD, Position 1 = OFF, Position 2 = OFF

More detailed operation steps, please refer to the quick start guide that could be found in the same folder of the GUI.

You have contact IT to check if the window OS missed some driver software if you still had connection problems.

Yes the configuration is as you mentioned, but the error still occur.

As mentioned above, you have to check if your windows OS is compatible with this software. Or you may use CCS to debug the project directly that should be easier and useful for the project development.
