Dear team:
I have a question about zero calibration of absolute encoder. The calibration process is as follows:
1. Set the angle at 0 degrees.
2. The d axis is -2A current.
3, q axis 0 A current.
4. The calibration time is 5 seconds. Then the encoder value is read and offset is calculated.
Result: The angle of encoder (minus offset) and the estimated angle of back EMF are 180 degrees different.
If the angle of the encoder is set at 180 degrees during calibration, the angle of the encoder (minus offset) and the back EMF are the same. The angle motor operates normally with encoder.
Why is that?
Best regards
