TMS320F28376S: Resume CLA operation after debug

Part Number: TMS320F28376S

Dear Sir ,

we are using the TMS320F28376S in one of our project , and using the c28x and CLA to perform various tasks , in order to debug the CLA code

i have insert __mdebugstop();   at the point of interest  and connecting the the target and loading symbol.

the part for debug CLA is working , but how i can resume to running mode after stopped at debug  ( i have disconnected from the CLA) , but i can see that

the CLA is not running after preform debug season. (the CLA is toggling GPIO so i can see that is not working).

    Eyal,

In the debug window make sure you have the CLA selected, and press the "resume button" before you disconnect the CLA.  You may also need to recompile/reload the project with the mdebugstop() commented out since the CLA will halt here again if another task is fired.

  • Hi Lori ,

Thank you for your response , if i understood correctly  if my CLA program contain mdebugstop()  once i started debug session with CLA

and paused on  mdebugstop()    i cannot resume  without recompile (comment out  mdebugstop()  ) and reload program to CLA ?

  • Eyal,

With the CLA selected in the debug window, you can press 'resume'  This will restart CLA execution and it will run to the MSTOP.  If another interrupt comes in, the task will restart and the CLA will again halt at mdebugstop.

If this is happening, and you do not want the CLA to halt again, you will need to remove the mdebugstop and recompile/reload the program.

    Regards

    Lori
