TMS320F28377D: flux estimation module

In your document titled "DMC MATH_v13.1", in chapter "aci_fe", in technical background description, it is written for current model, rotor flux of q axis in synchronous reference frame is zero. But as per theory of induction motor, q axis flux is required for generating force required to rotor motor.

We have observed this because when we used only current model and disabled the voltage model, the theta is generated as dc instead of ramp.

So can you please explain this.

When the d-axis is fully aligned on rotor flux, then all rotor flux is supposed to be in d-axis, is it not?

The motor needs current in Q-axis to produce torque. This current may produce some leakage flux, but this leakage flux will not contribute to torque.

Well if so is the case then theta which is calculated as atan(psiQ/psiD), will come as constant instead of ramp. And this is happening when I disabled voltage model and calculated speed using only current model.

The angle (atan()) will be constant when measured from the synchronous rotating frame. I suggest to review some text books to reconcile.
