Compiler/F28M36P63C2: POR, MBOOTROM

Part Number: F28M36P63C2

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

The Concerto stucks after a POR in the MBOOTROM and even does not reach the BootToFlash. To enable a successful debugging the customer is asking for the source code of the MBOOTROM (version: 0x100258 0x06120101). For other CPUs the source code is availabale in our control suite.

Thanks and bye

    Has the boot status variable been reviewed? Are there any error statuses set?

    Status bitfield details are in the TRM.

  • Hello erverybody,

    i am the customer mentioned by Hanno Reimer..

    Last friday i had quite a long debugging session with our customer who has the reported problems.

    The step-by-step assembler debugging finaly led to the register at 0x400F:B8CC (MWIR), the bit0 (EMU0) state of "0" was the reason for the endless loop.

    Further investigation showed that with a high propability the customer has damaged the related CPU pin during his debugging sessions so that it was static zero.

    So this problem seems solved as a hardware/handling problem.

    Nevertheless it might be handy to have the source code of the BOOTROM(s) avalilable to speed up the next problem handling!

    Best regards

    Thanks for the update!

    If you require source code, reach our to your TI field apps engineer and work on getting an NDA (which is required for F28M35/6x boot ROM source code).

    Best regards
