TMS320F28035: Connecting to target error

Hello,

I can not be connected to piccolo f28035 device. I tried to flash code on Simulink and CCS. But I got attached error Although the device is connected.

How can fix this problem? or Does anyone know about this error?

Hi Mete,

What emulator are you using? Could you verify if the one specified in the .ccxml file matches?

Thank you for replying.

I'm using "Texas Instruments XDS100v1 " USB emulator. Yes, I verified that in ccxml file, Its matched.

Hi Mete,

In that case, I suspect it might have something to do with the JTAG driver. What ccs version are you using?

If you are using an older version, you could try upgrading your CCS version or searching for latest drivers.

Hi Shantanu,

I'm using CCS v5. I also tried with CCS v9. But I got same error.

Is there a possibility that hardware was damaged? Because the 5V regulator is heating too much when we energized piccolo.

Hi Mete,

Before we write it off as a hardware issue, did you try it on another PC with the latest version of ccs9 and debugger drivers?
Were you able to connect to it before or is this the first time you are using it?

Did you try opening device manager to check if the device is visible as an Application UART COM?

Just trying to isolate the issue.
