TMS320F28335: Processor appears to be intermittently booting up slowly from power on reset

Are you able to interrogate the value of PLLCR and PLLSTS registers when this happens? I presume your secondary bootloader configures these registers? Do you wait for the PLL Lock-up time before executing application code?

Sorry for the delayed update. On further investigation, the large delays (10's of seconds) appeared to be around a simple assembler delay loop (20ms) waiting for a SPI a/d to calibrate in an initialisation routine. We think this is more a consequence rather than the root cause.

We struggle to get the issue to repeat with the debugger attached so interrogating the registers you suggest is quite difficult.

Surprisingly, the code has been rebuilt with application changes, no low level s/w changes and no delayed power-ups have been observed.

So we are no nearer a cause of this issue.

So, from "twice in 5-6 power-ups", you are now in a situation where you are unable to reproduce the issue?

If I test the older version of s/w it still occurs at that frequency. Newer version hasn't shown issue yet. As delay is just a simple loop, I'm suspecting corruption of the loop count.
