I am using TMS320F280049C launchpad. It's using XDS110 to flash code and debugging. Suddenly It stopped flashing and give error as shown below.

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -260 @ 0x0)
An attempt to connect to the XDS110 failed.
The cause may be one or more of: no XDS110 is connected, invalid
firmware update, invalid XDS110 serial number, or faulty USB
cable. The firmware and serial number may be updated using the
xdsdfu utility found in the .../ccs_base/common/uscif/xds110
directory of your installation. View the ReadMe.txt file there
for instructions.
(Emulation package 8.3.0.00003)

I have 2 launchpads and another is working fine with the same cable and setup files. can the issue be with JTAG controller or else?

Hi Chirag,

Does your target configuration file use a specific XDS110 JTAG serial number or did you change the serial number? If so, I could see this failing like so

Did you change CCS versions recently? It may be related to the EMU pack.

Hi Kevin

I have two launchpads. For one, I updated XDS110 firmware and it is working fine now. Another is not being detected by my machine.

For the first one, I used uscif to update the firmware.

Hi Chirag,

Your 2nd LP is not being detected by the uscif tool or CCS? Are you trying this with both LaunchPads plugged in or just one at a time? Try with one at a time if you aren't already.

Can you provide screenshots of what you're seeing in CCS or the cmd window?
