LAUNCHXL-F28069M: How can I detect if motor is blocked

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28069M

Is there a way to see with InstaSpin if the motor is blocked?

I would like to stop the motor in case it can't move for a certain time as a security measure. I use a modified version of Lab11d to control 2 motors with SCI enabled to start and stop the motors and set their speed.
I already did some test to see how the InstaSpin software behaves if I abruptly block the motor and although the motor is no longer turning the software still measures an RPM speed that is close to the speed RPM target.
Is there something else within 2806xRevB_FastSpinROMSymbols.lib to detects such faults?
