TMS320LF2403APAGA Programming Issue - "Error: Read status value 0x0001 from symbol PRG_status Flash algorithm failed during clear operation"

Hello,

I am working with the TMS320LF2403APAGA, and I am having problems programming them.  I am receiving the same error each time I try, and I have tried on multiple different boards.  This is a custom board design that we’ve developed several years ago.  The error message is "Error: Read status value 0x0001 from symbol PRG_status Flash algorithm failed during clear operation".  This is on a proven design that we have been using for 4 years.  We have more than 1000 in the field, and I have never seen this error before. 

I did some searching on the programming error message above, but didn't come up with any results.

I have some of the same board from a different release that I am able to program with the same programming setup so the programming hardware should be okay.  We are using Code Composer 3.3.  Is this an error message that we could get if the processor had been programmed before or the password had been changed?

 

Do you have any advice?  Any input or assistance is greatly appreciated.

    It is possible the Code Security Module is setup on these devices.  This would prevent the flash from being cleared, erased or programmed until the security mode is unlocked.  The JTAG access to on-chip Flash would also be blocked if the CSM is enabled.  This might be a quick test to verify if these particular devices already have the CSM enabled.

    Are these new devices (never been programmed)?  Or are they reprogramming devices?

    Did they try the suggestion given by Brandon in the above post?

    Hi Harman,

    I was on vacation this last week.  We did get 2 brand new samples to the customer who was going to try them out, but I don't know if they have yet.  I will let you know when I hear back from them.

    I am facing a problem in the flash loading

    so iam using TMS320LF2403 processor for this problem i got some information from TI community my flash is locked it seems for that i did view->memory checked

    and our password location data what is there that data i filled into these locatons after that flash is unlocked

    so , when again iam trying to load the flash same error i am getting Can you please help me how to overcome this problem?
