Hi expert,

My customer programmed some of the OTP memory for boot pin configuration and would like to read out flash contents together with OTP content to .out file or .bin file from a programmed device. They tried UniFlash with no success if memory range covers OTP area. Could you offer us a solution?

Sheldon,

There are some unimplemented addresses in the range that you provided. Hence, UniFlash is not able to read it.

May be you can take individual images for Flash and OTP and then merge?

Hi Vamsi,

Could you provide me of the right procedure to save OTP contents to .bin image? Is it same as dumping flash memory?

My customer reported an error when JUST reading OTP part.

What error did they get?

Can you send a snapshot?

What is the start address and length that they tried?

Note: I am out of office tomorrow and hence asked my colleague Ricky to keep an eye on this.

Hi Vamsi,

They read address 0x7800C and 0x7801C with data length of 2. When they export using an UniFlash they get below error.

You mentioned that the customer is exporting "address 0x7800C and 0x7801C with data length of 2", but in the screenshots you posted, the length that was entered in the GUI were 163839 (screenshot1) and 0x7FF (screenshot2). Both of those lengths will read past the end of OTP, which is in range of 0x78000-0x78800.

If customer wants to read/export entire OTP, they can put length of 0x800. Any length greater than 0x800 will result in the Memory map error, as 0x78800 is not valid memory.

Let me know if this works for them.
