LAUNCHXL-F28069M: 3.3V and Ground Short Circuited and Microcontroller is heating

I am Using LANCHXL-F28069M and Altair Solid Thinking Embed(Model-Based Code generation Tool)

I have Destroyed(3.3V and Ground Short Circuited and Microcontroller is heating)  totally Four LANCHXL-F28069M boards as of now.

After First Failure, I came to know that Board Cant tolerate 5V.

then after, three Boards also Destroyed. but I can't figure out the reason.

I got demotivated Because of the Continuos Failures and stopped Working in that area.

Now I wanna start Again but this time with F28035 control Card and Docking Station(TMDSCNCD28035).

1. What are the conditions that make 3.3V and Ground Short Circuited and Microcontroller is heating? How to avoid it?

2. What Are the precautions I should Take while Working With Controller boards?

eg : TMDSCNCD28035 and LAUNCHXL-F28069M

3. I am using older Laptops. Will there be any problem with the laptop USB ports?

4. What Kind of Environment I should work?

can some please help me.

    Damage can happen primarily in two different ways, Electro Static Discharge (ESD) and Electrical Over Stress (EOS). ESD can be avoided by following proper precautions like wearing a wrist-strap monitor, using the board in a ESD-safe workstation etc. It is hard to explain all ESD precautions in an e2e post, but excellent material is available online. Just Google " ESD precautions and proper handling procedures ". EOS can be avoided by ensuring that the VIH/VIL specs of the device is never violated. i.e. you should not drive a signal greater than VDDIO or less than VSS to any pin of the device. Likewise, you should not attempt to draw more current from any I/O pin than what the I/O buffer can source. Please pay close attention to the first few tables in the electrical section of the datasheet.

    3. I am using older Laptops. Will there be any problem with the laptop USB ports?

    No issue working with older laptops.

    4. What Kind of Environment I should work?

    ESD controlled environment.
