CCS/LAUNCHXL-F280049C: CANape Device Database

Dear TI community,

I want to send a CAN signal from CANape to LAUNCHXL-F280049C. But I need a database of LAUNCHXL-F280049C or a "MAP file" in order to add LAUNCHXL-F280049C to CANape devices to be able to communicate with my microcontroller.

I have searched for it in the internet and found nothing. is there any way to add LAUNCHXL-F280049C to CANape?
is there any "MAP file" or "A2L file" out there that I can use?

that would be so nice if you could help me with this problem.

We are not familiar with CANape nor the files it requires. I recommend contacting Vector support.

Hey Chris,

I have already contacted Vector. and this was their answer: " Vector does not provide A2L or MAP files to controllers. This must be provided by the manufacturer of the control units. "

I am confused. I want to use CAN option provided on this board and I simply cannot.

please help me, there should be a solution to that.

Hello

We don't use CANape and therefore don't have anything to provide. Note that MAP files are generated when you build the F280049C project.

From this post (https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/c2000/f/171/t/795257?CCS-TMS320F280049-The-variables-type-reduced-by-half-when-i-have-linked-the-out-file-in-ASAP2-Editor-to-generate-an-A2L-file) there looks to be an editor to generate an A2L file based off the project OUT file. I'd recommend looking into that. From my brief investigation, you can use the MAP file or (more preferably) the OUT file generated from the F280049C CAN CCS project to then have it converted to the A2L file needed.
