TMDSCNCD28379D: controlCARD replacement each other

Part Number: TMDSCNCD28379D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDSCNCD280049C

Hi all,

I would like to know it's possible to replace the controlCARDs between TMDSCNCD28379D and TMDSCNCD280049C in general. Are there any concerns to do that? Also can you tell me what are the differences between 28379 and 28377? Why did you name the file indicating the pinout "TMDSCNCD28377D_180cCARD_pinout_R1_3.pdf"?

Regards,
RYO

  • RYO,

TMDSCNCD28379D and TMDSCNCD280049C have been setup to use the same docking stations. Please note that TMDSCNCD280049C is considerably smaller than TMDSCNCD28379D, and therefore only uses the 120 pin portion of the connector.

F28379D is a superset of F28377D. F28379D contains a Configurable Logic Block (CLB).

The file is names F28377D because that device was released first, and the controlCARD originally used it. These designs are identical and only differ by the silicon populated for U1. Please see the following excerpt from the user's guide.
