TMS320F28069F: PWM operation and One-shot flag

Part Number: TMS320F28069F

It is not clearly stated in the reference manual but do I understand that once one-shot trip has occurred and TZFLG[OST] is set, then the said PWM module will remain in state specified by TZCTL register until the flag is cleared? Meaning that regardless of its duty or period changes, it will remain high/low until flag is cleared and once that happens, then PWM module will start switching as currently configured?

  • Rein,

Thanks for the feedback. One-shot trips do have a latched behavior, they will stay active until the flag is cleared. While a OST is active all other inputs to the PWM are ignored and the output will remain at the forcing state.

I will be updating the documentation to ensure it explicitly states this.

    Regards,
    Cody
