TMS320F280041: Questions reagrding reading memory in UniFlash

Hi expert,

We have a original program（ A.bin） and then load it to the MCU. By UniFlash ,we read the memory and get another program（B.bin）

But we found that they are different. The data is same but the order is different, it seems that the order is reversed .

The link you provided is indeed our FAE, he help us a lot.

But the answer is not what we expected.

We get B.bin from the function of read memory in Uniflash

The address

0x00000000 = 0(decimal)

0x00000010 = 16(decimal)

And Each address corresponds to 16 bytes of data.

The problem is not the length of the address. We cannot understand why the data is opposite.

Ricky is not available, so I will try to help with your issue.

My observations are with UnFlash v5.2 are:

Viewing memory in UniFlash displays values as "xxyy ...". This is the same byte order as in CCS.
When exporting memory from UniFlash, bytes are saved in little endian order: "yy xx ..."
When loading a binary file in UniFlash, binary files are interpreted in little endian order. If the input stream is "yy xx ...", the programmed 16-bit word is "xxyy ...". So, if you save and load the same file in UniFlash it will be restored in the original byte order.

Could you confirm you are using the same version of UniFlash to both flash and save the mentioned binary files?
