TMS320F28335: Correct use of the ADC.

Part Number: TMS320F28335

Hello.

The answer to this question is also valid for the TMS320F28335? I mean, the ADC is calibrated at the beginning with the adc_cal() function but then the user should take care of performing a periodic offset calibration, right? I found that the F28M35x_Adc.c shows how to perform this for the F28M35 but I could not find anything similar for the TMS320F28335.

Thank you in advance!

  • Hello,

Yes, the response in the thread you referenced is still valid for the F28335 device. Performing periodic offset calibration will help reduce offset error.

The same procedure should be followed, but note that the F28M35 device has an internal connection to analog ground (VREFLO) through channel B5 whereas the F28335 device does not. That being said, you will have to connect the ADCLO signal on the F28335 device to one of the ADC input channels and sample that.

    Best Regards,
