TMS320F28035: Max output frequency for ESMO

Hello,

We have a 6 pole PMSM motor. Could ESMO support 12000RPM (600Hz electrical frequency) for sensor-less controller? If not, how about max speed can ESMO work? Thanks

We have not tested at this speed because we did a have such a motor, but I think it Is possible . Let us know if you see a problem.

How about bandwidth for ESMO observer? I heard some people said it couldn't achieve above 420 Hz? Is that true? Thanks

I have not tested at that range, so i cant say for sure. But if you increase the sampling frequency (from 10 10KHz in the example project) to something in the range of 20 - 25KHz, it may be possible. Of course, it is tied to PWM frequency, which may be higher in any case to run this motor at high speed.
