Hi,

Greetings of the day!!

I am planning to use the TMS320C28346 DSP for my navigational board(includes GPS, Inertial Measurement Unit & Pressure sensors) project. In this, I would like to know if there are libraries which are available for logging the data received from the various sensors to a micro SD card. If not, are there any other methods available to logging data to an external storage device ?

Any inputs would help me out a lot in proceeding further.

Hi Rajeev,

You should be able to use the SPI peripheral to interface with the SD card by using FatFs (a FAT file system driver).

There is an SD card example in controlSUITE (device_support\F2837xS\v###\F2837xS_examples_Cpu1\sd_card\) for the F28377S that uses the FatFs. It is for another device but the SPI Peripheral has not changed much throughout devices so you could use this as a starting point.

There is also an app note and some sample code. It looks like it hasn't been updated since 2007, but it should be pretty easy to port to the device you are using. Here's the link: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/spraao7/spraao7.pdf
