INterestingly there is no COM port that is showing available, this could be due to the JTAG not being properly programmed. I will reach out to my colleagues to see if they have some ready set of instructions on the COM port programming.
Pavan,
Can you open up Windows Device Manager and check if we see 2 XDS devices, a debug port and aux port https://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/File:Xds100onWin10-sysdevices.png I'm assuming that we won't see the aux port but I'd like to make sure.
We can reprogram the FTDI device to try and recover both ports, please use the batch file(in the Zipped attachement) here: https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/c2000/f/171/p/252873/889381#889381
Let me know if this fixed things, or not and we can go from there.
Best,
Matthew
Hello Matthew,
I resolved my issue.
i created a case in TI support chat
I got the solution for that.....I want to share with you
BY FOLLOWING THESE STEPS
1) Download MPROG 3.5 from FTDI
Link: www.ftdichip.com/.../MProg3.5.zip
2) Extract and run MPROG
3) Connect your LaunchPad to the PC
4) Device >> Scan to find your XDS100
5) Tools >> Read and Parse to decode your programmed settings
a) The description should look like an XDS100v2 using an FT2232H
b) The Side B Driver was set to D2XX Direct instead of Virtual COM Port
6) File >> Save As (for backup)
7) File >> Edit
8) Update the Side B Driver to be RS232 UART + Virtual COM Port
9) File >> Save As (your choice)
10) Device >> Erase
11) Device >> Program
12) Unplug LaunchPad
13) Plug in LaunchPad
