TMS320F28377S: Question about Z1-BOOTCTRL option

After set up the Z1-BOOTCTRL for the boot pins. If the boot pins changed on the board, how to reset the Z1-BOOTCTRL . Right now using uniflash to reprogram Z1-BOOTCTRL is not working?

Hi,

Z1-BOOTCTRL is in OTP (one time programmable) region hence can not be re-programmed. You need to replace the device if setting need to be modified.

Thank you for the answer. So the question should be the boot pin 12, also is the pin using for the data line from external SRAM. When the boot pin pulled high, sometimes, it will impact reading data from external SRAM. Is there any solution for this hardware issue?

Hi,

What is the pull-up resistor value you are using on this pin? You should have weak pull-up so that there is no impact on external SRAM function.

Vivek,

The resistor value is 10K. Is this a good resistor value? Because right now, the reading data from external SRAM is not very stable, due to the share pin of boot pin and data pin.

That should be ok. Have you tried increasing the EMIF STOBE timing to see if that helps.
