TMS320F28388D: Device release and latest errata

Part Number: TMS320F28388D

We have questions about the TMS320F28388D.    Last I saw it was scheduled to release in June.  Is there a quick status?  Is that still accurate?  Is there a major change going on or is it pretty safe that the we could start developing with the samples. 

 

We would plan to start shipping beta units end of the year / beginning of next year for qualification. 

 

Once the part is released do you plan a spin this year?

    Yes, it'll be released in June 2020.

     Is there a major change going on or is it pretty safe that the we could start developing with the samples.  

    No major change. You can use current samples for development but for production we only recommend parts released in Jun.

    Once the part is released do you plan a spin this year?

    Will the initial production release fix the known errata?  Or will be a subsequent device spin?

    We are not planning another spin the RTM release. Please note that all issues mentioned in errata will not be fixed in release. Only some of the issues will be fixed and the affected version will updated accordingly in errata document.
