TMS320F28027: Setting specific memory locations to zero.

Hello,

How do I set additional locations to zero for CSM when using a password in a TMS320F28027 chip. The locations of the of the device that need to be set/filled with 0x0 are from 0x3F7F80 to 0x3F7FF5.

This is automatically taken care of when you use the F28027.cmd linker command file.

CSM_RSVD    : origin = 0x3F7F80, length = 0x000076     /* Part of FLASHA.  Program with all 0x0000 when CSM is in use. */

csm_rsvd            : > CSM_RSVD     PAGE = 0

and when you include the f2802x_csmpasswords.asm file in your project, those locations are filled with 0x0000 by virtue of the loop below:

; The section "csm_rsvd" can be used to program these locations to 0x0000.

        .sect "csm_rsvd"
        .loop (3F7FF5h - 3F7F80h + 1)
              .int 0x0000
        .endloop

Procedure is exactly identical for F28035, with the exception that you will use the F28035.cmd file in the C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_2_00_00_03\device_support\f2803x\common\cmd directory.
