TMDXIDDK379D: Documentation - Connecting the External DC Supply to the DC Link

Part Number: TMDXIDDK379D

Hello,

In the documentation for the TMDXIDDK379D kit (SPRUI43, November 2015), section 2.9.1.1 "Connecting the External DC Supply to the DC Link" presents a concern to me.

The section says

"

The external variable power supply can be connected to the board using the BS2 and BS3 banana jacks.
If using M2 and M8 bias power supplies, connect BS3 to BS1.

"

Why would I connect BS3 (Ground) to BS1 (DC-Out)? This is especially perplexing since the next section ("Connecting Rectifier Output to DC Link") says you should connect BS1 (DC-Out) to BS2 (DC-Bus) in order to power drive board through AC mains (in which case we have now connected all sources to ground).

Did the authors intend to say "connect BS2 (DC-Bus) to BS1 (DC-Out)" for powering the M2/M8 bias supplies while externally powering the DC bus?
