TMS320F28374S: Software update via USB possible?

Dear TI users,

I am planning to use the F28374 system, where also a USB device shall be integrated. One of the "nice-to-have" things would be a software update via the USB port connected to a PC.

As I just design the hardware, I wonder how to do best. Shall we have our own bootloader software, i.e. in one flash section, which reads data from the USB port and flashes the other flash sections? Would that work?

Any recommendations are very welcome.
