TMS320F28377D: Connecting EXTSYNCOUT to EXTSYNCIN1 and EXTSYNIN2

I am trying to figure out how to connect the ePWM EXTSYNCOUT to EXTSYNCIN1 or EXTSYNCIN2. My assumption is this is done through the Crossbar somehow but I can't seem to figure it out.

EXTSYNCOUT goes to OUTPUT XBAR/EPWM XBAR/CLB XBAR. you can use OUTPUTXBAR to take the signal to a GPIO, then use that GPIO as the source for INPUT XBAR , INPUT 5 and INPUT 6 which are EXTSYNCIN1/2 respectively.

Thanks, I saw that might be an option, does that tie up that specific GPIO hardware pin? (i.e. that particular pin cannot be used for anything else?)

Yes this would take that pin in hardware. Unless you are using one of the smaller packages (176pin) and can use an unbounded GPIO that has OUTPUTXBAR in its mux.
