CCS/LAUNCHXL-F28069M: 80-pin PN and PFP packages , 100-pin PZ and PZP packages

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28069M

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Dear TI team ,

I was searching for pin mapping of my f28069m kit to figure out all the functions and names of the pins, I was guided by one of the colleagues to TMS320F2806x Piccolo™ Microcontrollers , My launchpad is of 80pins but what is PFP package and PZP package ? PN and PZ ?

Why are the pins in the guided pdf is not the same as the pin map in the launchxl-f28069m development kit pdf ?  Or I have a misuderstanding in reading the pins from the launchxl-f28069m development kit pdf

Here is what I mean ,

1. reading the pins from this picture, forexample

pin 21 -> 5v

pin 22 -> GND

pin 23 -> ADCINA7

pin 24 -> ADCINB1

.. pin 6 ->ADCINB6

and so on

2. while reading the pin mapping from TMS320F2806x Piccolo™ Microcontrollers (80-Pin PN and PFP Packages )

Pins readings are different ? which pin mapping is the right one ? I need a detailed pin naming please . Why are they different ?

  • Hi Jinan,

    I can understand your confusion. The pin numbers on the LaunchPad's TOP side silkscreen are for representing the pin number of the 20-pin boosterpack headers, they don't represent the device pin. The silkscreen on the BACK side do represent the device pin numbers however. You can reference the device datasheet for the full signal descriptions and MUX options.

    Please see the "order now" tab on the product page for device package information and pin count: http://www.ti.com/product/TMS320F28069/samplebuy

    Best,

  • Dear Kevin,

    thanks for your explanation. Just to make sure, these are the pins naming and numbering of the launchpad?  found it in the datasheet of f28069m .

    Regards,

    Yes, that is the schematic for the LaunchPad headers. The GPIO numbers and ADC inputs on those pins correspond to the F2806x device signals.

    Best,
