TMS320F280041: ADC bandgap reference Vref temperature characterization

Part Number: TMS320F280041

16:45

Hello Expert,

Regarding TMS320F280041 ADC 1.65V bandgap reference voltage,

Can TI show the temperature characteristics?

Our customer wants to know this variation because this will not be compensated by the calibration process.

Regards,A.Fujinaka

  • Hi Fujinaka-san,

The internal bandgap testing procedures on the F28004x device involve measuring the voltage and current parameters at different temperatures and introduces a slope trim value.  This slope trim value is also programmed to the device so that upon boot-up the VREF will constantly remain at the target (for instance 1.65V internal VREF if this is the mode selected) across the operating temperature range of the device.  This parameter does not need to be calibrated with temperature change because of the slope trim.

    Hope this helps,

    Best regards,

    Joseph

  • Hi Fujinaka-san,

Just one additional point to add:

    • The DS specification for ADC gain error does already include the temperature variation of the internal reference voltage:
