TMS320F28069: how to switch from application mode to bootloader mode using firmware

Thanks for reaching out regarding the boot mode configuration.  Can you please clarify what you mean by application mode?  Is this an application that you developed and you are loading it into your target 28069 board using Code Composer Studio?

Yes.  The application mode is what you mean.  I load my development code directly from JTAG and run without bootloader.

I looked at the e2e post you suggested and am not sure whether it work or not.  It seems that this post does not have any results.

I just want to know if I can go to boot mode from my development code.  If yes, how?

Hi Jian, 

You cannot go to boot mode from your development code.  The common way to select the bootmode is via the GPIO pin configuration. Hope this answers your question.

So I cannot configure the GPIO pins from development code and do a software reset to go to boot mode, GPIO pins has to be set up through the hardware at power up to enter boot mode.  Is this correct?
