TMS320F28379D: Bootloader

Hello everyone,

I'm doing my project using Bootloader in TMS320F28379D Launchpad. I know that It seems hard to use SCI Bootloader using this Launchpad because of the lack of necessary pins. So I decided that I use Flash Boot Mode to do this. This is what I am doing: I transfer the code via SCI and then put it into the FLASH sector A. Is it possible to follow my way?

If yes:

1) How can I enter in Flash boot mode? I viewed example code F2837xD_sci_flash_kernels, but I don't know how can I enter in other boot mode. Please guide me !!

2) How Can I write my application code into a sector which is different from Bootloader-sector?

3) How can my application code run right after my firmware update?

If no: Can you show me some way to do my project with this? I have to use this Launchpad to do my project. I really need your help so please reply as soon as possible.

You can also study this excellent training material available for the TMS320F28379D device you are using: https://training.ti.com/c2000-f2837xd-microcontroller-workshop?context=1137755-1139641-1137781 It will answer your question about how to create a linker command file, so that the application can configured to reside in a specific Flash sector that is different from your bootloader sector.

Sorry for my late reply and thank you for your reply. I read your docs but can you tell me how can I enter Flash Boot mode. That is my first question.
