TMS320F28069: Does there any monolithic HRCAP IC avaliable ? ("High-Resolution capture" module in F28xxx MCUs)

Hi,

I build a project that using HRCAP module in F28069 MCU as high-speed counter. Now I want to find a standalone IC which could provide the similar capture performance as HRCAP to replace the F28069. (because what I need is only the HRCAP module inside, directly using 28069 is too expensive)

Does there any monolithic HRCAP IC available in TI's catalog?

Are you using this to measure time difference between edges? Or are you using this as a pulse counter?

Additionally,how much cheaper do you need it to be?

The following device actually has a more flexible and easier to use HRCAP module, and looking at 1K unit pricing is cheaper. https://www.ti.com/product/TMS320F280040 Also if you want to say in the F2806x family you should be able to go down from the superset device (F28069) to something like a TMS320F28062.

At the same time though if you really just want to measure the time of the pulses something like a TDC7200 might fit your purpose.
