TMS320F2809: Upgrade to add WiFi

Have an existing TMS320F2809PZ design with almost all pins used. Need to upgrade to newer device with more flash&RAM and add WiFI capability yet remain somewhat software compatible. What are the most recent parts that I can use to minimize the chance of going obsolete? Need 120 to 160 pin range, double the flash to 512K, 34K RAM or larger, 12b X 16 A/D, CAN bus required. Current options

TMS320F28335PTPQ

TMS320F28235PGFA

I am concerned that the datasheet for this device is from 2007... Are these a good choice for redesign to add WiFI capability?

You can use any of these devices. Nothing is going to be obsoleted.

We dont have any C2000 MCU with Wi-Fi.

Thanks for the response. WiFi seemed like a poor choice to me also. I think Bluetooth would be more appropriate. I see that Bluetooth is supported through SimpleLink. Is this correct.
