LAUNCHXL-F280049C: Uniflash verification error

Genius 5910 points

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F280049C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

I got the following problem with uniflash 5.2:

I unlock the device for Zone 1:

B0-Z1OTP-GRABSECT = 0x55555555

Z1OTP-GRABRAM = 0xFFFF5555

B1-Z1OTP-GRABSECT = 0x55555555

EXEONLYRAM/ EXEONLYSECT / GPREG1/2/3 = 0xFFFFFFFF

I load the image. No problem:  [SUCCESS] Program Load completed successfully.

Verify image. I got this error:

[ERROR] C28xx_CPU1: File Loader: Verification failed: Values at address 0x80000@Program do not match Please verify target memory and memory map.

It is a new device.

Any suggestion what the problem is?

  • Hi,

Verify image options bypasses the Flash loader and hence unlock sequence will not happen.  As a result, verify will fail.  Verify image option works when passwords are not programmed.

For verifying the image that you programmed, I would suggest you to do the below instead:

    1. Enter the passwords in the UniFlash GUI.

    2. In UniFlash "Settings & Utilities" window, choose "Verify Only" in "Download Settings" (Default will be Erase and Program).

    3. In UniFlash "Program" window, browse the Flash image that you want to verify and then click on "Load image".

This will initiate the Flash loader to do the unlock and then do a verify.

Let me know if this works.

    Thanks and regards,

Since you confirmed that the UniFlash verify issue is closed (as shown above), to better assist you on your other questions, I split your reply in to two other posts and assigned them to corresponding experts.

    I am closing this post.
