Hello!
I was doing some tests, and I noticed a little problem with the LAUNCHXL-F28069M development board.
Whenever I feed it externally (not via USB) the processor does not start, I need to plug in the USB for the code to run. Also, if I turn off the external power, even with the USB connected, the code does not start, I need to unplug and plug the USB again to start the execution. I tested this with several codes including the launchpad example, and the same effect occurs. How do I fix this?

Hi Clecio,

Are you trying to run some program standalone on the device, that is you've programmed the flash (not RAM) of the device for standalone operation? When powering the board externally, not through the USB, you should remove jumpers JP1-3 to disconnect power to the emulator. The emulator and DUT side of the board are isolated.

If having issues running standalone something you should check is the BOOT mode pin states:

Hi Kevin!

I'm developing a program for flash standalone operation.

I thought that the BOOT mode could be related, however I don't fully understand each mode, where could I get more information about it?

I discovered how to solve my problem, I just needed to add a line of code calling InitFlash() in main(), as follows:
