CCS/TMS320F28379D: Can not Program LaunchPad

Hii C2000 team,

I'm using Launchpad, and CCS version 6.1.2

I referred to C2000 MCU JTAG Connectivity Debug guide: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/spracf0/spracf0.pdf

I'm using onboard emulator, Power LED's are ON as described,

Port is available in device manager as described,

TRSTn signal is High at MCU,

XRSn should be inactive high when the device is operational. that's also happening,

Tried Wait State also by Setting Switch S1.

But I cant Test Connection from ccxml file and one photo is attached and that shows no test is being performed,

Modify CCS On Connect Action given in C200 JTAG connectivity Debug cant get options by Right-clicking as per described.

But On Power up LaunchPad performs Demo Application perfectly. when I press Debug Button Getting dialogue box to select CPU1 or CPU2 after selecting no process is being done(No debug Process).

Hi,

In Windows device manager, you said "port is available".

Can you confirm if you are seeing something like below.

Open the targetconfig, go to advanced tab. Can you confirm if you have some like below.

Hi Santosh,

these are the windows that I see as per both your description, it perfectly matches to yours

But in targetconfig ccxml file something is changed I don't know I'm right or not.

Hi,

Can you create a new target configuration file?

Open ccs menu View -> Target Configurations
Select "User Defined", right-click, New Target Configuration, give file name (xds110v2_f2837xd)
Connection, select "Texas Instruments XDS100v2 USB debug port" from dropdown.
Board or Device, select TMS320F28379D
Save
Open Advanced Tab now. Do you see similar to the screen-shot sent earlier

Can you install latest CCS 9.3. It is free.

Hi Santosh,

I created a new target configuration file but getting the same window as before but by user-defined target configuration file- >right click- > Launch selected configuration gave me this Debugger Initialization Error.

Hi,

Can you uninstall CCS and install latest CCS?

Otherwise you can to delete .lunch file.

Hi Santosh,

Thanks for your kind support.

My system is 32 bit so I will try using another system today as I got it today, for ccs version 9.3(64 bit system required)....

But found one problem there is no .launch file in the .launches folder, I haven't deleted that. How to recover that file because if I create a new project then also don't get .launch file.

Hi,

Can you reboot your computer, and create a new workspace and then create new target configuration.
