CCS/TMS320F28377S: ROV Execution Analysis Configuration

Hi,

Have you included UIA in your project?

If not, then please download UIA module from here

Then extract and copy the uia folder to ccs install folder. In my case, it is at C:\ti folder.

Then open cfg file for your project and add following line.

var UIAProfile = xdc.useModule('ti.uia.events.UIAProfile');

Rebuild the project and load and run it. 

Now you can go back to your step, it should detect the uia module and connection.

Can you please check if you have following two entries in cfg file?

var UIAProfile = xdc.useModule('ti.uia.events.UIAProfile');
var LoggingSetup = xdc.useModule('ti.uia.sysbios.LoggingSetup');

Once you add them, please rebuild the project. 

Added, no change. the reported errors is "ROV only supports ELF  object files"  Changing from xxx.out to xxx.elf resulted in same problem.

After running this, you should see screen something like below.

What SysBios version, XDC version and Compiler version you are using?

Also, are you using  onboard xds100v2, or how are you connecting the board? You need to load and run on target before launching uia.

Looking at the picture you attached earlier, it looks like you are using

SysBios : 6.76.04.02

XDC Tools : 3.55.02.22

C28 Compiler : 19.6.0 STS

I have modified the project to use the same tool-chains as yours and also tested COFF and eabi format. The execution analysis graph should work in both format. Modified project is attached here. Please try this.
