HELLO:

Is it possible to take the basic design & use three of these - drive each to get 0, 120 & 240 phase-shifted sinusoidal output power thus making a modern digitally controlled 3 phase lab-grade power source of 2400VA?

Question is really: how to make the output sinusoids to have 3 phases from the controller PWMs

Would it work in the lab if we got three eval kits & modified the code to cause the phase shifts at each of the outputs?

What will cause them to be synchronous

Hi,

1. It is possible but it is not so straightforward. I am not the original designer of this reference design so there might be something I miss from the hardware point of view.

2. I think you rest of the questions are related to the software configuration for three phase inverter. The design you mentioned does not have any sample code I assume. I will suggest to take a look at reference designs below which has sample code for your reference.

Basically you need to utilize the PWM sync signal for three phase operation. You can refer to our device techinical reference manual for more details.
