Compiler/TMS320F28377D: Please tell me how to use USB ID.

Part Number: TMS320F28377D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE, , C2000WARE

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

Dear all.

I use a USB host example. that example location is C:\ti\controlSUITE\device_support\F2837xD\v210\F2837xD_examples_Cpu1\usb_host_msc\cpu01.

I connected USB external memory with TMS320F28377D USB host.
then I checked read and write text files and folder.
But When I disable USB ID GPIO(GPIO47), it doesn't work.

So I tried to found GPIO47 set position.
But I couldn't find.

So I have a question.
I set to 'eUSBModeForceHost' flag. It commends was "Force host mode so that the VBUS and ID pins are not used or monitored by the USB controller."

So USB ID GPIO signal is needed?
I wonder about the USB ID setting function.
Where function to set USB ID GPIO?

Thanks
Regards,
Edward.

  • Hi Edward,

controlSUITE is no longer being updated. Request you to migrate to C2000Ware.

You can refer to the "USBGPIOEnable()" function in C2000Ware release for setting the USB ID.

This function is located in the file C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_2_01_00_00\driverlib\f2837xd\examples\cpu1\usb\usb_hal.c.

    Best Regards

    Siddharth

  • Dear. Siddharth

    Thanks for reply

I know the USBGPIOEnable() function is just GPIO initial part.

So I want to know the USB ID GPIO connection part with the USB library.
Please tell me the USB ID GPIO connection part in USB library.

and what is the "eUSBModeForceHost" Flag?
When I checked the USB host example, that example set was the eUSBModeForceHost flag.
If eUSBModeForceHost set, the operation is ignored USB VBUS and ID pin?

    Thanks

    Best regards,

    Edward
