CCS/TMS320F28379D: we have a problem in TMS320F28379D. We want to generate PWM with GPIO36,but GPIO36 doesn't have PWM function, nor is it included the OUTPUTXBAR

Part Number: TMS320F28379D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Dear Sir,
I'm from SIASUN the leading robot manufacturer in China. We met each other in the TI CLB training last year when you were in China.

Now, we have a problem in TMS320F28379D. We want to generate PWM with GPIO36,but GPIO36 doesn't have PWM function, nor is it included the OUTPUTXBAR.
Is it possible to use CLB to make it a PWM pin?

Looking forward to your replay ,thank you.

Thanks and Best Regards
Gengyi Li

  • Hi,

Since there is no PWM output or OUTPUT XBAR on GPIO36 - you can not use CLB to bring out PWM output on this pin.
You can generate PWM using CLB (examples available in C2000ware at C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_2_01_00_00\driverlib\f2837xd\examples\cpu1\clb).
But the problem is with the GPIO36 and CLB output can not be made available on this pin.
