Hello.

Can TMS320F28062F update it's firmware using USB flash memory?

I'm considering I divide the flash area into two parts, run an application in one area, place firmware to be updated in the other area, and switch the operating firmware.(I thin the device will work as USB host)

Is it possible above?

Are there any good solutions?

If running application while updating is like to difficult, stopping the application while updating is OK.

Hi U-SK,

How do you intend to place the firmware in the device memory? My suggestion would be to have a code which runs from RAM. This code should receive the firmware to be updated over USB and program it into Flash.

Take a look at the flash programmers provided in the utilities folder of C2000Ware for reference.

I think your answer is good solution.

If the application code is larger than RAM size,is it possible to run the application while updating the firmware from USB flash memory?

Then I think I should locate application code in flash while running...

In such a case, I think you should split and program the firmware code in chunks.
