CCS/TMS320F2812: Migrating to CCS6.2 from CCS5.5, Getting error in compilation

Installation of CCS 6.2 should also install XDAIS package. Was the installation successful?

You can also download it manually from software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html

Why do not you install latest CCS 9.3?  It is available free from here. Is your project include xdais, SysBios?

Thank you for your reply. 

Even after installing CCS6.2 it did not install the XDAIS automatically. Hence as you have informed, I have manually installed the XDAIS package. But I still could not figure out where to install it, OR how do I tell CCS6.2 where to look for it?  Would appreciate your help on this.

Hi Anand,

Typically, we install  c:\ti or wherever ccs is installed. CCS should automatically find it. Otherwise we can add it manually from CCS menu Help.

How about installing latest CCS? This will be better to get the latest CCS.

Sorry could not reply sooner as we had a long weekend here due to Holi. 

To answer your question why we are not going to the latest version of CCS - I am not sure about making such a huge jump from 5.5 directly to version 9.x Past experience has taught me to go step by step.... I already have 6.1 installed in c:\ti so  I had to install ver 6.2 in a different directory. 

I have temporarily bypassed the issue by unchecking the XDAIS option from the Project --> Properties menu.

However I am still getting a warning informing me that the compiler for version 6.2 could not be loaded, and the project is being compiled with LTS 15.2.1. Is this normal or do I need to download the compiler for 6.2 separately?
