Hope you are doing well. When you get a chance can you share some feedback on below question on TMS320C28346 :

are 1501 and 1531 date codes. What is the shelf life of this part and can we use them if they are re-baked

Randhir,

Sorry for the delay, we looked up several package versions for this product and they all have 2yr shelf life. I also heard that it may be possible that they can be restored with a bake, but I need to confirm this with another package specialist.

Randhir,

I just heard from the experts in this area, and here is what they say :

The shelf life is determined not by the degradation of the device, but only by the ability of the bag and the desiccant to keep the moisture away from the device. Generally speaking, the bag is not the problem if it has been properly sealed, but even with a perfect seal bags have a water vapor transmission rate over time, that is mitigated by the desiccant (which eventually loses its ability to absorb moisture). So, after 2 years the device can be removed from the old bag and sealed in a new bag with fresh desiccant to extend the shelf life for another 2 years. If this is done within 30 minutes of opening the old bag, no baking is necessary. However if it takes more than 30 minutes, a bake would be needed prior to re-bag or mounting on the board.
