CCS/TMS320F280049C: I got the launchpad for the 280049c issues with debugger start

i got the launchpad, had already installed the CCC, but the debugger does not start. comes up with this error:

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -151 @ 0x0)
One of the FTDI driver functions used during the connect
returned bad status or an error. The cause may be one or
more of: no XDS100 is plugged in, invalid XDS100 serial number,
blank XDS100 EEPROM, missing FTDI drivers, faulty USB cable.
Use the xds100serial command-line utility in the 'common/uscif'
folder to verify the XDS100 can be located.
(Emulation package 9.1.0.00001)

i tried to re-install the drivers from here, but no change:

Peter,

The F280049C LaunchPad uses an XDS110 2-pin cJTAG debug probe. Please see Appendix A FAQ 3-d on page 25 in the user's guide for configuration details:

There are a lot of options to configure the Bord.

Will the out of the Box Setting not work with ccc?

I am not sure of which version of CCS you are using, but in any case when creating the Target Configuration file reference the FAQ in the user's guide. There are not a lot of options to configure. The default setting work with just one change:

The LaunchPad XDS110 USB Debug Probe is only wired to support 2-pin cJTAG mode. Under Advanced Setup click "Target Configuration" and highlight "Texas Instruments XDS110 USB Debug Probe_0". Under Connection Properties set the JTAG/SWD/cJTAG Mode to "cJTAG (1149.7) 2-pin advanced modes".
