CCS/MOTORWARE: Lab 5a, Tunning current controller

Part Number: MOTORWARE

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I am working with lab 5a, trying to tune current controller, however following the instaspin lab guides it says

'''When a current loop instability occurs, lower the gain until the current waveform is like the one in the following figure. '''

I am using SERVO MTR from TI LSVMTR, how could I view the current waveforms from the ccs  ? is there a graphical representation of the current of the motor from ccs ?

If yes could you point it out?

Thank you

  • You'd better use an oscilloscope with a current probe to monitor the motor current if possible. Or you might use the graph tool and datalog function to get the current waveform in CCS as lab01b or lab01c, but the waveform is not a real-time current, just for reference.
