TMS320F28379D: How to customize Reed-Solomon decoder parameters

Hi,

I am trying to implement a Reed-Solomon codec using VCU.

For that, I tried running the sample project in the following folder.

[C2000Ware_1_00_06_00/libraries/dsp/VCU/c28/examples/reed_solomon/2837x_vcu2_reedsolomon_n255k239]

I want to change the parameters (n=255,k=239) of this sample.

Please tell me how to change the parameters like [n = 255, k = 231, (T = 12)]

It seems like we have to change tables like RS_BLOCK_K and RS_packedAlpha, RS_packedBeta, RS_codeGenPoly, is that feasible?

I consulted with the original author of this library and found out that this is not a parameterized implementation. You would need to modify the assembly code of the library to support your request.

Looking at the assembler code, it looks like it's receiving and executing parameters, but still doesn't work?

The assembler code seems to consist of the following three steps.

1.REEDSOLOMON_DECODER_calcSyndrome

2.REEDSOLOMON_DECODER_berlekampMassey

3.REEDSOLOMON_DECODER_chienForney

Which steps need to be changed?

Please tell me the specific changes.

I looked into the assembly code, and it is apparent to me that without a detailed understanding of it, it is not possible to suggest what specific changes are required to change the k. Unfortunately, I don't have the necessary expertise in this area.
