Hi,

I have a few questions.

1. Can I use UniFlash using the USB port of TMS320F28388D without debug tool?

2. Is it possible to read / write CPU2 and CM Flash from CPU1?

3. If No.2 is not possible, How to upload an application to CM Flash.

Dowey,

1. UniFlash supports only JTAG.

2. CPU1 can not read/write CPU2 and CM Flash. Each core has to program it's own bank.

3. Please take a look at http://www.ti.com/lit/an/spraco7/spraco7.pdf. This USB Flash programming app note is developed for TMS320F2837xD. This device has two C28x cores but not CM. However, you should be able to extend the concept shown in this app note for CM by yourself.

Banksel register is possible write to CPU2 & CM by CPU1. it is right? If no, What is the Banksel register role?

Hi Downey,

BANKSEL feature was for factory programming but due to some technical issue we are not planning to support this feature and remove this register definition in our next release of document.

How exactly you were planning to use BANKSEL feature ?

We want to write FLASH of CPU2 & CM by CPU1. is it possible with the BANKSEL register?

If the BANKSEL function removes as you say, there is no other way?

Sorry for the confusion created by our documentation.

BANKSEL does not work in user interface. It is meant for testing flash failure modes at a specific operating condition. It is not for user purpose.

To program CPU2 bank and CM bank from CPU1, as explained in http://www.ti.com/lit/an/spraco7/spraco7.pdf, application can be streamed via CPU1 and then loaded to CPU2 and CM memories.
