TMDSCNCD28379D: Control Card GPIO Resistors

Part Number: TMDSCNCD28379D

Hi,

I noticed that the GPIOs 59,62 ,65 ,66 and 70 on the 28379D control card have 39 Ohm input resistors.  I was trying to find the documentation for why the resistors were included.  Do the resistors affect performance in any way if I use those pins as GPIO I/O pins or Ecap pins?

Thank you,

Aditya

  • Aditya,

It looks like you have the GPIO numbers wrong, the correct GPIOs should be: 59, 61, 64, 66, 70, 72, and TDO. ALl of these have a different IO buffer, and to help mitigate noise these resisotrs have been added.

As IO or eCAP pins they should be fine. These pins can be used as the High-speed SPI if you would like to use it for that.

    Regards,
    Cody
